Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the number one killer of women globally, claiming the life of one in three women and one woman every 80 seconds1. It can be hard to carve out time in the day to exercise, let alone make a healthy meal, and the pandemic has only exacerbated this while we’re stuck at home.

With back-to-back zoom meetings, it's challenging to eat a nutritious lunch. It’s easy to grab something convenient in those few seconds between Zoom calls—and let’s face it, what’s convenient isn’t usually the healthiest option. During International Women’s Day, Ciena hosted Chef Stephanie from The American Heart Association for a virtual cooking segment on heart-healthy, quick lunch options, and brought awareness to the impact CVD has on women.

Chef Stephanie provided us with two recipes, and you'll see not only how easy—but how quick—they are to prepare. Check out the recipes below, and make sure to tag #CienaLife with your pictures when you post your creations to social media!
