Vikas Batra is Senior Director of Software Engineering at Ciena India where he is responsible for the strategy and evolution of network planning solutions. With more than two decades of telecom experience, Batra started his career at Ciena with the development of Ciena Network Designer, a planning tool for Ciena platforms, and oversees engineering for the company’s domain control and management software development.

Batra has also held lead designer positions at established companies as well as start-ups, where he gained experience in networking protocols and data analytics.

Vikas holds two master’s degrees from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani and University of Indore.
