The 8114 is a hardened, fixed-plus-modular 2.4 Tb/s router. As a 2 RU multi-service access and aggregation platform, it flexibly balances 48 ports of 1/10/25GbE SFP28—all of which support Ethernet, TDM, eCPRI, and XGS-PON, and are 25GS-PON ready—with 6 x 100GbE QSFP28 fixed ports and two 800 Gb/s field-replaceable units (FRUs). The FRU modules can support Ethernet, MACsec, or coherent ports, including options for 100/200/400 Gb/s coherent WaveLogic™ 5 Nano on QSFP-DD or CFP2-DCO form factors, serving various use cases.
