In 2021, we commissioned Heavy Reading to conduct a global survey of CSPs to better understand the impact of network convergence and IPoDWDM on their businesses. In 2025, we commissioned a new Heavy Reading survey to track industry progress over the last four years and to get a fresh understanding of plans, preferences, and challenges moving forward. This wide-ranging report is a summary of that survey and provides insights into everything from primary decision-making criteria for IPoDWDM to management requirements in converged IP and optical networks.
