Streamline and Differentiate SD-WAN Service through MDSO
Enterprises have begun adopting SD-WAN technology to address the shortcomings of their existing WAN experience. Initially, enterprises had to purchase equipment directly from SD-WAN product vendors and operate the solutions on their own. Recognizing the potential threat to their MPLS VPN and managed services revenue, as well as the potential for a new revenue source, network operators joined the fray with their own managed SD-WAN service offering. However, many took operational and back-office integration shortcuts that make service delivery complex, costly, and time-consuming, while hampering their ability to leverage their networks and related service offerings for competitive advantage. Network operators can address these issues by following the MEF LSO reference architecture for SD-WAN and implementing a Service Orchestrator to automate the provisioning of SD-WAN services.
